Prepared Hero Emergency Fire Blanket is a two-pack of 39 x 39 in (99.06 x 99.06 cm) fire blankets designed to help extinguish small fires in the kitchen and around the home.

  • Two 39 x 39 in blankets — keep fire coverage available in more than one location.
  • Pull-down tabs for deployment — access each blanket by pulling its tabs.
  • Made with two layers of woven fiberglass fabric and an inner fire-retardant film — a layered construction for fire suppression.
  • Isolates temperatures up to 1022°F (550°C) — also usable as a thermal or heat shield.
  • Conforms to CE safety standards EN 1896:1997 — meets the stated fire blanket standard.
  • Does not expire — unlike traditional fire extinguishers, it does not need to be replaced due to expiration.

Prepared Hero Emergency Fire Blankets are made for keeping fire protection close in places where small fires may occur, including kitchens, backyards and vehicles. Their lightweight design also suits camping and survival kits. For kitchen use, the blanket is effective on liquid or grease fires, and it can be used with different types of fire. The brand describes deployment as quick and easy, without the mess associated with common fire extinguishers.

What kinds of fires is the Prepared Hero fire blanket for?

The blanket is designed to help extinguish small fires, including liquid and grease fires. Its use also extends to different types of fire, as well as providing a thermal or heat shield. The pull-down tabs provide the stated way to deploy the blanket.

  • Designed for small fires in the kitchen and home.
  • Effective on liquid or grease fires.
  • Can serve as a thermal or heat shield.

What is the Prepared Hero blanket made from?

Each blanket uses two layers of woven fiberglass fabric with an inner layer of fire-retardant film. The material is flame retardant and can isolate high temperatures up to 1022°F (550°C); the blankets conform to CE safety standards EN 1896:1997.

  • 100% flame-retardant material.
  • Two woven fiberglass layers with an inner fire-retardant film.
  • CE conformity to EN 1896:1997.

Where can I keep the two-pack, and does it expire?

Keep the Prepared Hero blankets in the kitchen, backyard, vehicle or camping kit. Each is lightweight and has a hole slot for hanging on a wall. The blankets do not expire, so they do not require replacement due to expiration like traditional fire extinguishers.

  • Two blankets, each measuring 39 x 39 in (99.06 x 99.06 cm).
  • Hole slot allows wall hanging.
  • Suitable for kitchen, backyard, vehicle and camping-kit storage.
