Outdoor locks can face weather as well as attempts to cut, pick or pry them. The M175XDLF is designed for gates, sheds and storage applications, combining a weather-protective cover and seal with a hardened shackle and a roller pin cylinder. Its one-directional dial is also designed for use in low-light conditions.

What security features does the M175XDLF have?

The lock combines a Tough-Cut octagonal boron-carbide shackle with a roller pin cylinder. The shackle is 50% harder than hardened steel, and the cylinder is designed to provide resistance to picking and prying. A reinforced body bumper helps protect the lock body against scratches.

• The shackle is 1-1/2 in (38 mm) long and 15/16 in (24 mm) wide.
• The roller pin cylinder adds resistance to picking and prying.
• The reinforced bumper helps guard the body against scratches.

How do you set the combination, and is the lock made for outdoor use?

Choose a four-digit combination yourself; changing it does not require a reset tool. For outdoor use, the hinged dial cover and shackle seal help shield the lock from weather, while the one-directional dial feature supports operation in low light.

• The dial is designed to turn in one direction.
• The hinged cover and shackle seal provide weather protection.

What size is the lock, and how can I check the fit?

The dimensional feature gives a 2-1/4 in (57 mm) lock body width, while the product description gives a 2 in (51 mm) body width. Compare the lock and shackle dimensions with the opening and hardware on your gate, shed or storage unit before choosing it.

• Body material: zinc.
• Shackle diameter: 3/8 in (10 mm); length: 1-1/2 in (38 mm).
• The extended shackle offers flexibility across applications.

The Master Lock Magnum M175XDLF suits people securing outdoor gates, sheds or storage who want a reset-tool-free combination and weather-protective design. Its zinc body, hardened octagonal shackle, covered dial and extended-shackle dimensions make it a combination padlock for outdoor access points.
