How does Refresh OPTIVE MEGA-3 help dry eyes?

Refresh OPTIVE MEGA-3 lubricates the eye’s surface and helps protect natural tears from evaporating. Carboxymethylcellulose (CMC), the active ingredient, provides lubrication, while HydroCell technology uses a glycerin-containing solution to hydrate and maintain the volume of cells on the eye’s surface. The brand’s data reports 10+ hours of relief from one drop; results may vary.

• Designed to soothe dry, burning, or irritated eyes.
• Triple-action formula lubricates, hydrates, and helps protect tears from evaporation.

What ingredients make this formula different?

In addition to its lubricating active ingredient, Refresh OPTIVE MEGA-3 contains flaxseed oil as an inactive ingredient; the oil contains omega-3s. The formula also includes trehalose, an antioxidant, and is preservative-free.

• Plant-based flaxseed oil is an inactive ingredient.
• Made for dry, sensitive eyes and use as often as needed.

How do I use the bottle?

Apply 1 to 2 drops in the affected eye or eyes as needed. Before the first use, remove the safety seal and clear plastic cover, remove the blue pull tab, and take off the blue cap. Squeeze out 2 drops to prime the bottle. Keep the tip from touching your eye or other surfaces, then push the cap straight down to replace it.

• The soft-squeeze multidose bottle has a double lockout system.
• The system is designed to keep drops sterile and provide a consistent drop.
