What do Lysol Disinfectant Handi-Pack Wipes clean and disinfect?

They are designed for cleaning most household surfaces and disinfecting hard, non-porous surfaces when used as directed. The wipes kill 99.9% of germs; the product also gives a 99.99% claim for viruses and bacteria on hard, non-porous surfaces. The listed targets include cold and flu viruses, Salmonella enterica, Influenza A virus, Herpes simplex virus type 1, respiratory syncytial virus, and COVID-19.

• Use them for cleaning and disinfecting household surfaces, including wood.
• Wipe down remotes, tablets, and smartphones, as well as kitchen and bathroom surfaces.
• Use a fresh wipe to remove allergens; the wipes are approved to remove more than 95% of allergens, including pet dander, dust mites, and pollen.

How long should a surface stay wet?

For sanitizing, keep the surface wet for 10 seconds; for general disinfection, keep it wet for 4 minutes. The specific SARS-CoV-2 claim is a 15-second kill time on hard, non-porous surfaces, under EPA Reg. No. 777-114.

First pre-clean the surface, then use enough of a fresh wipe to wet it thoroughly. For cleaning and allergen removal, wipe the surface with a fresh wipe. Repeat with another wipe for stubborn stains. Surfaces that come into contact with food must be rinsed thoroughly with water after use.

• Use enough product to keep the surface visibly wet for the applicable contact time.
• Pre-clean before disinfecting, and use a fresh wipe for allergen removal.
• Rinse food-contact surfaces thoroughly with water.

Lysol states that the wipes are 3x stronger than a paper towel, making them suited to wiping spills and everyday messes.
