Exploding Kittens Horrible Therapist Card Game, Extra Horrible Edition, 3–8 Players

Exploding Kittens Horrible Therapist: Extra Horrible Edition is an adult party card game for making funny therapy comic strips, designed for 3–8 players ages 17 and up.

• Combine Question, Answer, and Treatment cards — create a therapy-themed comic strip each round.
• The funniest Treatment earns a point, and the first player to 3 points wins — giving each round a clear goal.
• Includes 80 Question Cards, 158 Answer Cards, and 200 Treatment Cards — a varied deck for mixing up comic combinations.
• For 3–8 players ages 17+ — made for groups of adults who enjoy irreverent humor.
• Every card features original art by The Oatmeal — the webcomic creator and Exploding Kittens cofounder brings the illustrations to the game.

When a group needs an activity that gets people making jokes together, this game turns therapy into a comic-building contest. Use it for a game night, as an icebreaker at a party, or as a pregame activity. Its group format also makes it an option for road trips, vacations, weekend getaways, and gifting to someone with a taste for questionable humor.

How do you play Horrible Therapist?

Players use a Question, an Answer, and a Treatment card to build a therapy comic, then compete to play the funniest Treatment. The winner of the round earns a point; the first player to reach 3 points wins the game. The rules are fast to learn, so groups can get into the comic-making contest without a long setup.

• Each comic combines three types of cards.
• The Treatment card determines who scores each round.

What cards are included?

The game contains 80 Question Cards, 158 Answer Cards, and 200 Treatment Cards. These card types provide the prompts, responses, and comic endings players combine during play. The many possible combinations are designed to keep rounds feeling fresh, with a different comic taking shape as the cards change.

• Question Cards set up the comic.
• Answer Cards and Treatment Cards complete the combination.

Who is this adult party game for?

Horrible Therapist is made for groups of 3–8 players ages 17 and up who want a social game centered on comic situations and deliberately questionable humor. It suits a hosted game night, a party where a group activity can help break the ice, or a casual pregame. The card format also makes it easy to bring along for road trips, vacations, and weekend getaways.

• A gift option for people who appreciate offbeat humor.
• Original card art is by The Oatmeal, creator of the webcomic and cofounder of Exploding Kittens.

This game is best suited to adults who enjoy making jokes with a group and competing over the funniest comic ending. Its 17+ audience and therapy-themed card combinations make it an adult party game rather than a game for younger children.
