For preschoolers, sorting, counting and noticing patterns can turn everyday play into opportunities to practise early skills. This set brings those activities together with hands-on pieces, tools and guided games, so children can explore colors and shapes while developing coordination and concentration.

What skills can children practise with this sorting game?

Children can practise color and shape recognition, counting, sorting and sequencing as they handle and arrange the pieces. Picking up shapes with the tongs and placing them in cups also gives them opportunities to work on hand-eye coordination and fine motor control.

• Play also supports spatial reasoning, focus and attention.
• Activities encourage mental processing, planning and logical reasoning.

How do the tongs, cups and activity boards work?

Children use the tongs to pick up colorful shapes and arrange them in the cups or follow an activity. The boards offer additional ways to play, including bingo, stacking, sequencing and counting; the learning guide provides more game ideas using the set.

• Sorting and matching games bring color and shape recognition into hands-on play.
• Stacking activities give children another way to use the cups and shapes.

What comes in the set, and what are the shapes made from?

The set brings together silicone shapes, stackable cups, double-sided boards, tongs, a storage bag and a learning guide. The shapes are made of odorless, non-toxic, food-grade silicone and are free from BPA, latex, lead, PVC and phthalates.

• The storage bag helps keep the pieces together for cleanup and portability.
• The tongs are designed for young children to grip and use during activities.
