Philips Hue Tap Dial Smart Light Switch, White 1-Pack, Wireless Scene Control & Dimmer

The Philips Hue Wall Tap Dial Light Switch is a wireless controller for Philips Hue smart lights, combining four programmable scene buttons with a rotating dimmer for convenient room-by-room lighting control.

• Four programmable buttons — call up chosen scenes for different Rooms or Zones.
• Rotating dimmer — adjust brightness gradually or make faster changes with a quicker turn.
• Adhesive-backed, no-wire mounting — attach the wall plate to a wall, or use the switch as a handheld remote.
• Hue Bridge required; Matter compatible — enables Hue features including automations and control from anywhere.
• One white switch and one CR2032 battery — the key components for getting started.

This switch makes everyday lighting easier to control without reaching for the Hue app. Mount it where you want a fixed control, detach the dial when you want a remote, or attach it to a metal surface. It is designed for homes using compatible smart lights and a Hue Bridge, with physical controls that other people in the home can use too.

How can I mount or use the Tap Dial Switch?

Attach the wall plate with its adhesive backing for a wireless, no-wire installation, then use the dial in place or remove it to operate as a remote. The switch can also be placed on a metal surface, giving you more choice about where lighting controls sit in your home. Its matte white finish keeps the control visually simple when it is mounted and not in use.

• Adhesive-backed wall plate for mounting.
• Removable dial for handheld remote use.
• Can be placed on a metal surface.

What lighting can the four buttons control?

Assign each button a preferred scene, including different light settings for separate Rooms or Zones. Press a button to activate its chosen setting, with options that include 24-hour scenes such as Natural light. This gives household members a direct way to select lighting without using the Hue app.

• Choose the scene assigned to each button.
• Set buttons for different Rooms or Zones.
• Use a button to activate a preset scene.

How does the dial adjust brightness?

Turn the dial to dim or brighten connected lights, choosing the pace of adjustment through how quickly you rotate it. A slower turn changes brightness in smaller increments, while a faster turn changes it more quickly. The dial provides a physical dimming control alongside the scene buttons.

• Turn slowly for smaller brightness adjustments.
• Turn faster to brighten or dim more quickly.

What do I need to use the switch?

The Philips Hue Tap Dial Switch requires compatible smart lights and a Hue Bridge. The Bridge unlocks Hue automations and control from anywhere, and provides a secure, stable connection that does not drain Wi-Fi; the switch is also Matter compatible. One CR2032 battery is included with the single white switch.

• Requires Hue smart lights and a Hue Bridge.
• Matter compatible.
• Includes one CR2032 battery.

This switch suits Hue households that want quick access to chosen scenes and brightness control from a wall-mounted dial or a handheld remote. Its four buttons provide direct scene selection, while the rotating dial gives control over light intensity without opening the app.
