For shoppers choosing a protein-focused dry food for their cat, this recipe brings six named fish ingredients together in one kibble. Its grain-free formulation and WholePrey approach make the recipe’s ingredient choices easy to understand, while the 4 lb bag provides a defined quantity of food.

Which fish are at the start of the recipe?

The first six ingredients are raw whole mackerel, whole herring, flounder, Acadian redfish, monkfish and whole hake. Together, these fish provide protein, vitamins and minerals. The recipe is Biologically Appropriate and draws on the idea of foods cats’ ancestors consumed in the wild.

• Six fish ingredients are named in the recipe’s first six positions.
• Raw ingredient amounts are approximate and calculated from the ingredients’ unprocessed state.

What does grain-free mean for this cat food?

ORIJEN Six Fish has no added grain ingredients, and it is made in a facility that also processes grains. The formula also contains no added soy, corn, wheat or tapioca. These details help clarify which ingredients are left out and the facility context for buyers comparing grain-free foods.

• Grain-free refers to the recipe’s ingredients; the processing facility also handles grains.
• Soy, corn, wheat and tapioca are not added to the formula.

How does the WholePrey recipe and coating work?

The WholePrey recipe uses organs and bones alongside fish ingredients, reflecting more than fish muscle alone. A freeze-dried liver coating adds flavor to the kibble; ORIJEN describes that flavor as one cats instinctively crave.

• Organs and bones are included as WholePrey ingredients.
• The kibble has a freeze-dried liver coating.

This recipe suits cat owners looking for a dry food with a fish-led ingredient list, a grain-free formula and included WholePrey ingredients. The bag contains 4 lb of ORIJEN Six Fish kibble, made with the named fish ingredients and a freeze-dried liver coating.
