What ingredients make up the Original recipe?

The first five ingredients are fresh or raw chicken, turkey, chicken liver, whole herring, and salmon. The recipe also includes ORIJEN WholePrey ingredients, such as poultry and organs, bringing nutrient-rich parts of prey into the kibble.

Its grain blend combines oat groats, whole oats, quinoa, and chia. The grains are sourced from non-GMO crops, while the animal ingredients form approximately 90% of the recipe by weight in their unprocessed state.

• Fresh ingredients are delivered refrigerated.
• Raw ingredients are delivered frozen.

How does this dog food support digestion, immunity, and coat health?

ORIJEN AMAZING GRAINS Original includes fiber, prebiotics, probiotics, and selected oils to support these everyday health needs. Inulin contributes soluble and insoluble fiber, and the recipe’s fiber blend is intended to support digestive health.

DHA and EPA come from whole herring, salmon, and pollock oil. These fatty acids help support immune function, healthy skin, and a shiny coat. The food is formulated to support three key benefits: digestive health, immune support, and healthy skin and coat.

• Inulin is included as a source of soluble and insoluble fiber.
• Prebiotics and probiotics are part of the digestive-support blend.

What gives the kibble its flavor?

A freeze-dried coating adds a burst of raw flavor to the dry kibble. The recipe pairs that coating with animal ingredients, including poultry and organs, as part of its WholePrey approach.

Each serving brings together the grain blend and animal ingredients in a dry dog food format. The fresh ingredients are delivered refrigerated, while the raw ingredients are delivered frozen before inclusion in the recipe.

• The coating is freeze-dried.
• WholePrey ingredients include poultry and organs.
