• Made in the USA — offers a clear point of origin.

Long periods of sitting can make a supportive backrest useful at work, in a vehicle, or while travelling. This cushion is made to provide lower-back support on a range of seats, with a slim shape for people who prefer a less prominent cushion. Its purpose is to help support proper spine alignment and sitting posture, and to help treat and prevent low back pain.

What is the OPTP Slimline Lumbar Support designed to do?

It is designed to support the lower back and encourage proper sitting posture. The cushion uses foam for comfort, while its flat-fitting profile places support against the back of a seat. Developed by physical therapist Robin McKenzie, it is approved by the McKenzie Method and connects its design to the approach associated with his work.

• Designed for lower-back support while seated.
• Developed by the author of Treat Your Own Back.

Who is the slim profile intended for?

The low-profile shape is described as suitable for petite people and older adults who want a slimmer back cushion. It rests flat against a chair back rather than projecting as a bulky support. The built-in elastic strap is adjustable and fits most chair backs; fit may vary with the chair, so compare the chair back with the cushion’s strap placement before use.

• Made for a range of chair backs rather than one specific chair model.
• Also suited to people looking for a less prominent lumbar cushion.

Where can I use it, and how do I care for the cover?

Use it as back support on office chairs, car seats, airplane seats, and other seating. The cover removes for washing, giving you a way to clean the fabric separately from the foam cushion. The cover is made from 100% polyester and is designed to resist wrinkles and wick moisture.

• Seating examples include office, car, and airplane seats.
• Removable cover is easy to wash.

The OPTP The Original McKenzie Slimline Lumbar Support suits petite people, older adults, and anyone seeking a low-profile cushion for seated lower-back support across different settings. Its foam cushion, slim shape, and adjustable strap make it a practical choice for those whose chair back accommodates the strap.
