What makes these bags compostable?

HoldOn bags combine compostable materials with plant-based renewables such as cornstarch and are designed for industrial composting. They are BPI Certified, BPA-free, and PFOA-free. When composted, the material breaks down without producing microplastics or toxic residue.

BPI certification involves compostability testing and standards. Industrial composting facilities may not be available in every area, so confirm that local facilities accept compostable bags before placing one in a compost collection stream.

• Plant-based renewable content includes cornstarch.
• Compostability is intended for industrial facilities.

How are the bags designed to handle household waste?

The bags use multi-way flex material designed to resist rips and tears, with triple-ply construction to help prevent leaks. Their flexible drawstring handles grip the bin and help the bag stay in place during use and removal.

For best results, keep the bags in a cool, dry place and drain excess liquid from wet waste before discarding it. Taking out the trash every 2–3 days supports freshness and bag strength.
