First Alert CO606 Plug-In Carbon Monoxide Alarm 3-Pack with Battery Backup

The First Alert CO606 Plug-In Carbon Monoxide Alarm is a three-alarm set designed to warn you of elevated carbon monoxide levels, with an electrochemical sensor and battery backup.

• Three plug-in alarms — monitor carbon monoxide in multiple areas of your home.
• Battery backup — keeps monitoring during a power failure.
• Electrochemical sensor — detects carbon monoxide and triggers an audible warning.
• 85-decibel alarm — provides a loud alert when carbon monoxide reaches dangerous levels.
• Single test/silence button — lets you test the alarm or silence it using one control.

Carbon monoxide can be difficult to detect without an alarm. The CO606 is made for home spaces where you want ongoing monitoring without navigating a display or multiple settings. Its plug-in format is intended for a standard electrical outlet, while its backup battery provides monitoring if household power is interrupted. With three alarms in the pack, you can plan placement across the home based on the number of levels and bedrooms.

How does the First Alert CO606 detect and alert you to carbon monoxide?

The First Alert CO606 uses an electrochemical sensor to detect carbon monoxide and sounds an 85-decibel alarm when levels reach a dangerous threshold. The audible warning is designed to alert you to elevated CO without relying on a visual display. The sensor is intended to detect carbon monoxide wherever the alarm is placed in a room.

• Electrochemical sensing technology monitors carbon monoxide levels.
• An audible alarm warns when CO reaches dangerous levels.

How does the plug-in alarm work during a power outage?

The First Alert CO606 plugs into a standard 120-volt outlet and includes battery backup for continued monitoring when power fails. This lets the alarm operate as a plug-in unit during normal power conditions while retaining backup power for an outage. No complicated display or settings are needed for setup.

• Plug the alarm into a standard electrical outlet to begin monitoring.
• Battery backup supports monitoring during a power failure.

How many alarms are included, and where should they go?

The First Alert CO606 pack contains three plug-in carbon monoxide alarms for use in multiple rooms. First Alert recommends placing one alarm on each level of your home and in each bedroom. Compare that placement guidance with your home’s levels and bedrooms when deciding where to use the three included units.

• Pack quantity: three alarms.
• Recommended placement: one on each home level and in each bedroom.

How do you test the alarm and know when to replace it?

The First Alert CO606 has one button for testing the unit or silencing the alarm. An end-of-life signal chirp indicates when the alarm needs replacement. Each unit carries a 7-year limited warranty, and all First Alert CO alarms are rigorously tested to meet UL standards.

• One button handles testing and silencing.
• An end-of-life chirp signals replacement time.
• 7-year limited warranty; tested to meet UL standards.

The First Alert CO606 suits households looking for plug-in carbon monoxide monitoring across several areas, with backup power and straightforward one-button operation. Its three alarms, electrochemical sensor, and end-of-life signal make it a practical fit for homes planning alarm placement by level and bedroom.
