What are Ecovita plates made from?

Ecovita plates are made from bagasse, the fibrous material from sugarcane, and bamboo. Both are renewable resources that can be replenished in months rather than years. The plates are tree-free and non-plastic, offering an alternative to disposable plates made from plastic or conventional paper.

• Bagasse and bamboo are the stated plate materials.
• The plates are intended for food such as lunches and meals.

How do these plates handle meals?

Ecovita plates are designed to resist liquids and heat, and their sturdy construction makes them suitable for serving meals. Use them for family lunches, casual outdoor eating or larger occasions where disposable tableware is convenient. Their 9-inch size gives you a defined plate size to consider for the portions you plan to serve.

• Suitable occasions include picnics, camping, barbecues and parties.
• They are also intended for catering, weddings and restaurant use.

How long do Ecovita plates take to compost?

Under appropriate composting conditions, Ecovita compostable plates can turn into compost in 2–4 months. This timeframe depends on those conditions; the claim is not a promise that the plates will break down at the same rate in every environment. Their compostable design gives event hosts and households a disposable option intended to become compost rather than persist for years.

• Composting requires appropriate conditions.
• The stated timeframe is 2–4 months, not a universal breakdown guarantee.

Ecovita plates suit households, hosts and food-service settings looking for tree-free disposable tableware for meals and events. They combine a 150-plate quantity with bagasse-and-bamboo construction and a compostable design for use under appropriate composting conditions.
